Re: Is there an airbox made to work with the SS hood? Any airlid works with the SS hood. The FTRA kit works with it (but I'd much rather seal that part off to get the most out of the FTRA kit.)
The factory SS has no WORKING ram-air. It may sell cars, but HP it makes not, IMO.

Re: Is there an airbox made to work with the SS hood? get the normal Z28 lower airbox, and ditch the "raised" lower, get the FTRA (seal it up good), a 85mm lid (TSP) and 85mm MAF, and you're set. Like the good Colonel said, the SS and WS6 hoods may increase sales, but not HP. The boost in HP is from the exhaust.

Re: Is there an airbox made to work with the SS hood? 30th, I had an '01 SS and the airbox was identical to both of my Z28s. The only difference was that it sealed to the hood. I installed the FTRA just as I did on my Z28 before it.

Re: Is there an airbox made to work with the SS hood? The factory WS6 works and is easily modified to be really good. I'd like a WS6 type set-up more than FTRA just not to block my radiator.
Re: Is there an airbox made to work with the SS hood? Hey guys...just thought I'd chime in here! This discussion of the WS-6 sparked my interest. I have a stock one, was seriously considering an airbox in the near future, and was wondering if it's even worth it (already being 'Ram Air' and all). Been looking for some time and think I've decided on an 85mm TSP Carbon Fiber air box but don't know if I'll even see enough results on the street to make it worth my while. Please advise. All input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
