new intake M, and now AC doesnt work
new intake M, and now AC doesnt work has anyone installed a F.A.S.T. intake (or any intake) and had the AC stop blowing out cold air? Do u know what i must have f'ed up?
Interesting, i also recently swapped intake manifolds and now the air only blows out of the floor vents no matter where i turn the dial. it still blows cold air when i turn it to a/c, just blows out the floor. which one is this vacuum hose you speak of?
On a LS1 car I don't know. It should be on the diagram under the hood.
In earlier models the hose came off the intake to a vacuum tee that has three points on it. It's a check valve so when the engine vacuum drops the vents/defroster doesn't stop working.

Yeah, sounds like you might have disconnected the vacuum hose...it's a little "T" thing over by the blower box. Might be hidden under the bundle of wires.

the vacuum line will solve one of these issues. for the guy who's ac is only blowing on the floor no matter where he turns the dial....the vacuum hose to the a/c is either disconnected or you have a vacuum leak that is not allowing the ac to get sufficent vacuum to change the vents. for the guy whos ac is not blowing cold you have a different issue. First of check to see if the compressor is coming on. if so the you need to hook up a set of gauges and check pressures after you make sure you have a full charge. if the compressor is not coming on you need to start with the basics. make sure you did not accident disconnect the pressure switch. if the pressure switch is connected, take a jumper wire and jump the connector for the pressure switch. if the compressor comes on and then the car blows cold air then its a bad pressure switch. if the compressor comes on then the car does not blow cold air then you either have a bad compressor or not enough freon. if the compressor does not come on the you have no power to the compressor. check connection at the compressor and make sure it is connected. if no power is found and all connections are good start at the ac fuse. if fuse is good then move onto relay. chances are that will find the issue but if not let us know.
