Re: SLP LS6 Intake vs. Holley LS1 Intake
So, has onyone actually dyno'd a motor with an ls6 intake, vs. the holley back to back? What was the outcome? It seems as though there are many theories of potential flow, heatsoak, etc.. but I haven't seen any back to back tests...

Re: SLP LS6 Intake vs. Holley LS1 Intake
To those waiving the BS flag on my LS6 intake post, let me elaborate. If im telling you that someone went through the time to dyno LS6 intakes and saw consistently higher #'s with the Fcar intake over the other variants im not bullshitting. How would i personally gain from stating that? Its fact. Trust me. Some of the sponsors on this board build Long block packages. When they go through the expense of building these packages and they see higher #'s from the Fbod intake CONSISTENTLY i take that as a fact. I posted that information because another board member was looking at buying an intake and i wanted him to know what the best bang for his money would be. I dont have any comparison information on the Holley intake so i didnt vote. But if your going to get an LS6 intake, heck, its your money.

Thanks for the input scoobie I appreciate it. But I have the Holley intake being sent to me, and I was wondering if it would be better then any of the LS6 intakes, performance wise. If it isn't then I will sell it and get the LS6.

Re: SLP LS6 Intake vs. Holley LS1 Intake
this should cut down the confusion...GET THE F.A.S.T. LSx intake ina few months. They will all suck in comparison then. From all the preliminary info, the LSx will blow them all out of the water, and still be plastic, so no heat soak issues. Gains across the board for all rpm and ci motors. Don't know about you, but I can't wait for it to come out!

All I can tell you is what I've seen at our local track. A 98 Form 6 speed with SLP longtubes, DR's, Lingenfelter/Holley intake, Borla, lid, filter, and I believe a hpp3 ran 13.0's the day I was running 13.3's. He said his best was a 12.8x @ 109. Mine was a 13.2 @108.5 on Goodyear GT2's with a 2.36 short time. I have lid, filter, bellow, Predator, shifter, torque arm bushing, 1le trans mount in my 99 with stock intake, exhaust, manifolds, and all. I wasn't impressed by what I saw. Just an observation for ya.
