Did you just a use the old lid as a mold and covered it with tin foil and fiberglassed the the top. Then the pipe together. Either way you did that is cool. What grit sand paper did you use on the inside of the box.(Smooth)

I plan on running the 100mm MAF with the 92mm TB/intake when i get more money saved up probly over the winter.
You should get a rev xtreme 100mm throttle body, and have the fast 92 ported to 100mm. Vengeance has done some of those. That way there's no "neckdowns" in your intake. It'll be 100mm all the way in. Nice job on the lid! When are you going to make one for me?

Nice work

I'm sure after a few more of those the "air bubbles" will get worked out. (I don't see anything wrong)

Awesome work!

Props to you bro. Would be wicked to give this to someone to try out on a dyno with the supporting other mods. Either MAFless, or 100mm MAF and a fast 92/92 or as someone else mentioned the revxtreme 100mm and ported intake.

The only advantage I see to this is being able to have close to the same size connection. I think that only way to get justifiable power over the current lid offerings is to increase the volume inside the lid.

Why would and increased volumn of air inside the lid perform any different than a normal lid? I would think that air is gonna flow at a set rate through your filter and into the intake period, leaving only the rate at which it flows through your maf/tb as the deciding factor on how quickly it enters the intake.... Thus, by opening the piping up to 100mm all the way through, a greater amount of air would be allowed to enter at a faster rate.

But then again I am no engineer, and am subject to being wrong.

By any means though, great friggen job at making your own one off custom lid. You sir will be the envy of every little LS1 boy and Girl to gaze under your hood, as long as they know what they are looking at.

I am with everyone else. Standing in line for one of my own.
