Default lift engine for long tubes?

In order to get long tubes, is it required to lift the engine?

I don't think so on Pacesetters, jump-in if I'm wrong. I know that SLPs are notorious for that. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

pc's should fit w/out issue, cut the tab off the block and they slide right in

I've installed about 50 sets on the C5/6/Z06, American Racing is the way to go

no it is not required to lift the engine when installing longtubes. Its not necessary. I just took my manifolds off and my pacesetters slid right in. Had a bit more trouble on the drivers side because of the steering shaft and what not but i wrestled em in.

No need with pacesetters, I am not sure about other headers though.

Pacesetter install very easy and don't require lifting the engine. LT's and a tune will get you about 20hp

you dont lift the motor, you lift the car. ive had pacesetters and now have 1 7/8" arh's.

both went in and out easily but you need to get the nose up high. drive the car up on ramps. wheel **** the back tires. now either platform a jack or if you car jack goes high enough just jack the car up from the k-member. get it up there! place your jack stands at both front end of the frame rails. lower jack just enought to get weight on those jack stands. proceed to do the job.

theyll fit in easier if you can turn them vertical when installing. dont forget to unbolt your manifolds before getting the car off the ramps(otherwise u need something to stand on) i left the old plugs in to hang the header on. and just a hint....... number 8 plug and wire is simple to get from under the car. good luck

heres a pic of the tab grinded down http://www.ls1sounds.com/pics/instal...%20tab%202.jpg.

I dynoed at 347rwhp with long tube headers running through a jet hot y pipe and and open exhuast cutout, only other things done were air lid and ported tb. So you definitely gain a good amount of hp from lt headers and a tune.

yep, like everyone else said no need to lift the motor up. I have hooker ceramic coated long tubes and had no problem installing them what so ever.

Pacesetters also slide right in without any problem. May have to remove the steering knuckle tho.

My Hookers required no modifications to the block, unlike others. I didn't even have to remove the sterering shaft, as someone else mentioned.

You will need a Y-pipe for all the headers available (less shorty).
