Went to their web site. Says it will work or they will buy it back. I see nothing wrong with that, you can't lose.

There are so many views on this mod because it is a "Budget Mod"

People who don't have any extra money in their Budget can still afford this cheap Mod...

I think I am going to keep on saving for somethig else, I am still trying to figure out why all of these cool stickers I bought netted me absolutely NO gains at the track. I though that strategically place stickers added around 5 or 6 rwhp or something...

if i could get to a dyno without a 3-4 hour drive id do it in a heart beat. alot of people in this thread seem to dyno and run a track quite often. for 50 bucks that is refundable you should give it a whirl so we can put this puppy to bed.
we all seem to think(with good reason and sense) that its bs. sometimes things that seem so wrong actually work. come on you hardcore guys give it a whirl with tested proof we will then know and maybey itll go off the market.
ps. how many sponsors sell the tornado?---------exactly!!!

I don't have to dyno a smaller hole (this product or an unported TB) to know that it doesn't flow as well as a larger one (ported TB.) Logic.

I was unsure of their claimes too, but when they say they will buy it back if you are unsatisfied, I figured I would give it a shot. Not to mension the success of their C-5 ram-air system. So before I bought it I went to the track. Then after I installed it I drove it for a couple hundred miles so the PC would adjust for it. At the same time I installed ported MAF ends too. I went back to the track and ran 2 tenths better consistantly in similar conditions and came home with a new best despite my clutch going to sh*t.

Take off your MAF ends and put the stock ones back on to test out its function.

Since your in Chicago you think that the cold air helped you out any? You should get your best runs in the cold.

Not being a skeptic, but the only good way to test is on the same day.

Bret,
Conditions were similar on both days, temp, humidity, track. Soo the performance difference is all in the parts. Not to mension, the computer has to relearn any parts that you add so same day mods comparos are impossible.

01ws6transam,
There are two different types of these, one for the old vortec motors($29) and one for the LS1 motors($49).

damn, it's 3 pulls for 30-40$ around here depending on what shop u go to.

I ordered the thing to try it out and am going to Dyno as soon as I get it. But I ordered it a week ago last Friday and still haven't gotten it. I got some dyno time coming so I don't mind throwing this part on and trying it out.

i like the way that TBYRNE posted and isnt comming to back this product up. if the faster velocity is better then why dont we all just run 60mm TB's? anything that makes the hole any smaller is going to make the motor have to work that much harder to suck in that air on the intake stroke. so how could this possibly work? onlything i can think of is where those openings are, they must be cutting that off a lot, thats the only why this thing would have any gains. but why risk that i dont wanna have too much pressure in my crank case or have my idle get messed up.

i spent the 50 bucks going from the old style slp bellow to the new one seeing the old one sucked. all this stuff is is over priced rubber, i mean really it cost how much to make? a few bucks? and its still not perfect...if you are goin to sell something that high then it better be PERFECT all IMO so dont get mad its just what i think lol
