Velocity Stack Tbyrne has this for sale ... touting 13 rwhp on a 03 'vette. Anybody have any toughts on this?
For $50, it's worth it,even if it only gives half of what they claim. But part of me feels this is more like the EFI version of the Tornado ...

Re: Velocity Stack I am skeptical about any product that talks
velocity rather than flow, because the main
way to get fluid speed is by choking its area.
My general observation is that people hype
velocity when they have nothing else to talk
about.
In a dry-flow EFI system, velocity means do-do
except in the intake port where the fuel shot fog
resides.
The smooth insert will surely improve the
turbulence-inducing features of the stock TB
(particularly the PCV/IAC lip). Almost like
epoxy, only without the work, but with some
small reduction in area.
What it can't get rid of, is the ridge before
the blade. It can smooth the transition but
can't increase the throat area.
On the other other hand, that last mm increment
of throat area might be not such a big deal if
the flow is cleaner.
When somebody buys one, does back-back dyno pull
triplets that show average gains over 10HP, then
I'll feel like I wasted my time home-porting mine.
But tonight I'll rest easy.
