Well if you're set on replacing with GMMG tips, at least you'll have one as a spare now. I have an extra Magnaflow tip in my garage...
If you really think the Mecham tips are too small, maybe you should just weld a garbage can onto the tailpipe Damn!

That's my plan for the next set. Regardless of which ones i go with.

I think I may end up going w/ the Mecham tips. I was wrong about the size... the Mecham tips are actually BIGGER than the GMMG... 3" VS 2.5".

Not that it'll matter in the whole grand scheme of things, but GMMG may have lost some business simply for a minor inconvenience.

How was the event and do you have any pics? I wanted to go and take my car but I had to travel out of state on business. I have one of the cars from the Indy2k event that was marked to commemorate it. Glad you got to go but sorry for your loss.

it was probably one of the other f-body guys, and he's most likely reading this thread and laughing. scumbags are like this, they steal from people that are close to them. I wouldnt be surprised if its somebody the OP knows.

it seems like every time I have gotten a compliment on something, it ends up disappearing soon after. Thats partially the reason I am so secretive about where I live and work...

ok... i'm going to catch all manner of hell for this pic... but in case some of you don't know. It's a newly tradition for the winner and his crew to kiss the last remaining row of original bricks that serve as the start/finish line at the track. The row of bricks run from the track through the infield... Well, since they won't exactly let me run out on the track to kiss the bricks, I decided to take advantage of the open opportunity. It was after i saw the pic that i thought "Oh dan... What have you done.... :nosulk: ". Anyway, here it is :o

Annnd all of us staging up to get on the track :hyper: It was EARLY and i was hardly awake. Elmer says he estimated it to be around 700 fbodies there at the track. My guess was a bit more conservative. Regardless, it was, by far, the most fbodies i'v seen in one location. They were 4 lanes wide for over a quarter-half a mile.

Getting on the track :hyper:

and i still had over a gallon left :flex:

All in all folks, it was a great trip. It sucked having the exhaust tip stolen, but it was still a great trip. Today, I went through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi :faint: What a trip.

Just to put in perspective... heres where I drove today/this weekend
