Blow drying an air lid So a long time ago I put on my SLP air lid and put up in here how it wa the worst the install of an air lid ever. lol The thing didn't fit and I have a giant sweet scar on my finger because the stock lid wouldn't come off the MAF and the stock bellows bit me. The lid didn't go on all the way leaving maybe a few centimeters tops left on the MAF. I had thought about using a blow drier on it but didn't have one. I figured it would help a little bit. On Friday I played with it more and had my girlfriend's blow drier. Tried it out and holy crap. I was expecting to still have to work the MAF in the lid, but it slid on slick as snot! I was very surprised as to how well it worked. Hardly had to push it on or anything and it slipped on without a hassle. Thanks for all that kept saying that would work, making me do it!
oh yea, it helps alot. We had to do it on a buddies car and the only problem we had was the metal clamps go hot as hell and one guy grabbed them by accident and let out the funniest scream ive ever heard,lol.
