that doesn't have anyting to do with egr or evap. i believe its your map sensor. one of the vacuum lines off the t-fitting runs to your AIR solenoid and the other runs to the AC. your evap is the line that runs next to your fuel line that goes into the fuel rail(the evap runs into the front drivers side of the intake. your EGR is on the front passenger side of the engine. i remove everything from my evap except the canister on the tanks and the line that runs from it and i haven't had any bad side affects.

okay i know that it does have EGR, because it has the vent pipes off the headers and has all the hoses. i know the picture above doesnt show the EVAP, but i still want to know if i can get rid of it with out any negative side effects. i'll attach a picture of the EVAP & EGR (just where the electrical connectors go in). sorry for the bad quality

okay quick update. you all got me thinking maybe i got f'd on ebay and got an older engine. but i checked the numbers on the block and intake. 12559378 - LS1. and it has 12561184 on the intake - LS6. So that means it is a 2001 correct? and if its an 2001 it shouldnt have EGR. Correct?
Maybe im out to lunch on what i think EGR is... but i have the two pipe's going out of the exhaust manifolds, connected to tubing that ties together and has this little nipple thing... i'll attach a picture of what i think it is. you let me know.
I still could use a definite answer on whether or not i can get rid of my EVAP aswell.
thanks alot guys i really appreciate any help

The EGR will be on the passenger side bolted to the front of the head and there will be a steel tube coming from it and will go to the top of the intake directly behind the throttle body. If it's an 01 then there is NO egr. The tubes that bolt to the headers or manifolds are for the AIR system, not EGR. You can remove the AIR tubes with no problem and make some block off plates or buy them.

you can remove the evap. just plug the intake in the front drivers side where the line hooked to. and the fist picture of the two that you just posted of the solenoid that has two vacuum lines runing to it is for the AIR system, which you can also remove. you also can't remove the sensor in the first post that has the T-fitting going into it. you can remove the t-fitting that has the line running to your AIR solenoid and hook the vacuum line coming from your climate control directly to the sensor.

and an '01 motor should not have had egr. does your intake have a larger hole on top of it right behind where the throttle body hooks up? and does the passenger side exhaust manifold have one or two holes? if one of your exhaust manifolds has 2 holes instead of one, you have egr.
