Default what is this?

what is the small brass looking sensor on the front side of the drivers side head. it is right behind the power steering pump. I snapped mine off while removing my exhaust manifold.

Hell yes it will, I must have unknowingly damaged it when I was installing my headers and didn't notice. Then I was test driving it after the installation and tune was done, and I guess the sensor finally broke off when I was getting down on the gas pretty hard and all of a sudden the car was stuttering hard trying to die. Rolled to a gas station to inspect and sure enough the sensor was in 2 pieces.

No damage just severe stutter. I guess by the time I left the station it had gone into limp mode? Anyway got it home, took fiancee's car to pick up the sensor, replaced it, cleared the code, and good to go.

PN will depend on the year - the 98 is different from the 99-02. Probably about $30 at the dealer, cheaper from a sponsor or local parts store.
