Cutting the egr
Cutting the egr I have seen somewhere on the net where on the 98's the egr goes back into the top of the manifold and is held by 2 bolts. They said something like it blocked the air flow into the manifold. Is there a way to trim that thing off, and then bolt it back on. I will delete it right before I get my tune, just want to get it out of the way of the air flow for now.

Sure. Just take EGR pipe off the car, cut those 2inches off with a dremel and put it back. One of the so called free mods with a motto "every little bit helps". It's not even necessary to disconnect EGR from the exhaust manifold, just be careful not to put too much stress on the tube [you can bend it a little]

be careful of the seal that seals the intake and EGR; depending on mileage the seal might be worthless once you "break it". i would buy another one just incase. Also; i WOULDN'T try to cut the tube with it still attached, disconnect the tube that goes into the intake BEFORE you cut it. If you bend it you might not be able to line it up correctly again and u will end up with a shitty seal on your intake.
