Default Stall converter?

I got a 99 TA with full exhausts, tune, 3.73 gears and a 3600 stall. I have been told that is to big of a stall, does anybody know if it is? and what is a good muffler to go with to get a good deep sound out of this car?

I have the same stall and it doesn't seem like a lot. I also still have 2.73 gears so you have it better than me. I have a hooker catback and it sounds pretty good

hooker muffler dumdumdum!!! the stall depends on manufacturer... some are looser than others..a friend has an 00 bird with built trans, 4k stall, headers, tune, DR's and went 12.1... went down to a 3200 and its better but its a different brand

i've never heard anyone recommend anything smaller than 3800. and for exhaust, bassani makes a very deep, good sounding true dual system, or you could buy their muffler for about $100.
