cant get off the timing seal!! help! :(

hey, i did my cam swap, and im trying to remove the old crank seal from the timing cover but i cant get it out!!! is there any trick?

No trick at all just some good 'ol fashion fightin with it....although it does help if you can cut through it without knicking the front cover.

Get two pieces of wood (2X4) and set the cover face down so the wood is just to the outside of the seal. Use a small hammer and a dowel or small piece of wood to tap the seal out from the back. Don't go nuts or you will damage the timing cover. New one presses in by hand.
