quick q on arp studs and 853s

quick q on arp studs and 853s I know this is probably a dumb question, but I feel the need to ask before I order them. I have 853 heads with notch. Will the ARP LS1 Pro-Series Head Stud Kit, PN 234-4316, work with my heads?
The description says it will work with all LS1s built through 2003, but I don't necessarily believe everything I read either.
My block is a 98, with 853 w/notch as I said, and center bolt valve covers.
Would like the ARP Stud Kit 234-4316, and the head gasket kit 12498543, but wanted to check with you guys before ordering.

Yeah, I heard the graphite ones were the only ones available for the 853 notches. I wonder if they will hold up to a 100 or 150 shot of giggle though.

On some early LS1 heads, there is a notch in the middle between cylinders 1 and 3 or 5 and 7, depending on which bank you're talking about. Some 853 heads have them and some do not.
If you have the notch, you can NOT use the GM MLS gasket. If you do, you will have a major water leak. You must use the graphite gasket.
Some say that the graphite gasket's strength is questionable when going forced induction. So I might be right on the edge with a small shot of nitrous.
I'll take a picture of the heads tonight and post a pic.

alot of people spray stock motors and dont have any problems i dont see why using them will hurt anything. i sprayed my 00 trans am with graphite gaskets for a while never had any problems.
