Obviously they're MUCH cheaper bare.

I would'nt buy the "assembled" DART heads anyway, they come with 550 lift springs, cast steel valves, and steel locks. Get the bare heads for $485 each, buy the Patriot dual spring kit w/ titanium retainers for $255, and a set of stainless valves for $155. Thats $1380 for a "GOOD" set of DART heads.

Thats just what I would do.

Wow, never knew that. I would have reused my recently installed Patriot Extremes and bought valves. I could have saved even more..... I did get them with the upgraded 660 lift springs for $1550.

The 225's are pretty good "as is" but work better on a 4" bore due to combustion chamber size/shape. Take it with a grain of salt but he is a TSP "hater". His 243 heads are costly too but Killer. There are a couple guys with his stuff around here so this is not internet BS but what I have seen.

Nuff said

I talked with him, he wanted 2G's to do his magic.. IMO, its wasnt worth having over 3G's in a set of Dart heads.

This is so much BS I don't even know where to start. Cast valves? Good grief

Lets try drop forged valves, titanium retainers, PSI 1511 springs (the same ones Katech selected for all their LS7 build after exhaustive valve spring testing), US Seal valve seals and machined locks. I will put these part up against the heads you are running any day of the week.

Cylinder Head, Pro 1 LS-1, Alum., Assm'd., 62cc Chamber, 225cc Int.Runner, Chevy, 5.7L, 1997-2004, Each

Check to make sure this part fits your application Upgraded cylinder heads for your LS1.
Dart calls these Pro 1 LS1 cylinder heads a secret weapon. Using their proprietary "Speed Flow" technology and the same aircraft-quality 355-T6 aluminum used in their Pro Stock heads, Dart has produced these affordable, yet powerful LS1-type cylinder heads. Five-axis, CNC-blended combustion chambers generate improved airflow and flame propagation, which increase both power and torque. With two available intake-port sizes that flow very well as-cast, there is a choice for strong street performance, as well as one for maximum street performance or bracket racing. These heads have extra material on top for added flexibility to upgrade the valvetrain, and they're set up for big valves with bronze valve guides and hardened seats. They're available either bare or assembled, and they're drilled for stock accessories with stock port locations, so you can use stock components.

The Beehive springs Dart uses are good for .625 lift unless they changed them from when I bought them.

I have an invoice here for the T4P Dart 225's with Pac behives, Ferrea valves ect. for $2710. They out flow and out perform the AFR's. The AFR 225's sell for $2475.00. So for $235.17 dollars more you can have a better head with the prings setup for you cam with the propper install hieghts ect.

And they require less fuel and timing to make more power. So you'll get your $235 back in no time.
