They will have some pretty smiles, that is one way of flycutting

Assuming pistons are Ok, you'll definitely need head rebuilt, guides, valves and valve job as well as new seals.

I just bought these 243 heads and all the valves were bent. Do I put stock size valves back in or do I go bigger? Also Stainless Steel or Titanium Valves? Thanks

Titanium is lighter weight... and cost ! ..LOL
I also have a set of inconel exhaust valves as well. Advantage to them is the material. higher heat resistance.

If the heads are ported I think you will benefit from the larger valves.

If you are are gonna really spin it the ti's may be worth the extra $$ but if you are mainly street and not going to go above 7000 very often SS will be fine with the rest of the valvetrain set up right. I actually see guys spinning 7+ reliably on SS valves everytime I go to the track. Proper springs, seat pressures, install height, ti retainers you'll be fine SS. Set up properly they are very reliable.

Having said all that if you wanna drop the bucks go for it Ti's are definitely an upgrade

ok very good, I am going to port them as much as possible. So It sounds like the titanium is the way to go, just to on the safe side.

Well, I was planning on doing a valve job anyway with new valves.

Titanium is going to be a little more finicky. They can't get too hot, and gall really easy. When the gall, they will stick and REALLY cause some damage. Seeing how you have a couple bent valves, chances are you'd need some guide work done to run the titanium valves.

Before anyone says I'm just trying to sell these things, I could care less if you buy valves from me or not, I'm not exactly gonna fight to sell them. But with MSRP at $150 for either intakes or exhausts, $200 for a full set is a hell of a deal. Especially when your other option is about $1000 for titanium, and thats just the intakes.

Good deal from KCS and nothing wrong with his SS valves.
I'm not asking $1000 for the titanium though, $600 will do, I'll sell the whole set :titanium and slightly used inconel exhaust valves for $850 plus shipping.
Putting that out there for anyone, not trying to disuade the OP from KCS

I don't think I've seen a set of heads where they've bent 14/16 valves. My guess would be a timing chain snapped.

Damn, nice avatar, I need to come hang out with you at your house, nice scenery.

OP thats a over rev if it hit that many valves, or cam too big for the springs, either way valve float is what did it, unless the timing chain jumped timing but that is pretty unlikely.
