Default surging

I just got my head and cam done got a new motor. I'm breaking in I noticed when I dry slow sometimes the car will shift, then rpms drop and then it will start surging for a little bit then mellow out I think its because of the stall I am assuming this is something the tune will fix when I get it on the dyno. Like I said before I am still breaking the new engine in and and have about 500 miles on it and am breaking it in to 1000 before I get it on the dyno. The stall is not that big either 3200 I guess it might just be doing that because its not tuned up yet or would the cam make it surge or what anyone ever had this issue.

without a tune the cam will surge . depending on the cam specs some more than others . in an automatic it is is just more noticeable as with a manual .

If it has the factory tune, I'm surprised it's not much worse. It needs to be tuned for driveability to address street maners. And I wouldn't drive it much at all unless you know where the AFR is.
