I would not remove the engine for a head install. That is WAY more work than you need to do for a head install. I would just throw them on with the block in the car. Ya unless you were doing alot more than just a head swap then keep the motor in the car.
Now if you were doing a cam, lifters, rod bearings, rod bolts, oil pump, and heads thennn I could see removing the engine .
