if there is a sticky please direct me to it but would it be best if i were to remove the whole engine to install heads on an ls1 f body

I would not remove the engine for a head install. That is WAY more work than you need to do for a head install. I would just throw them on with the block in the car. You shouldn't have a problem with getting them installed. You can reference ls1howto.com for help or shoot us a PM or give us a call with any questions you have!

Ya unless you were doing alot more than just a head swap then keep the motor in the car.

Now if you were doing a cam, lifters, rod bearings, rod bolts, oil pump, and heads thennn I could see removing the engine .

+2... I have head studs and I can pull the heads off with the block still in the car.
