Default Broken lifter/rocker arm?

Ive had this noise for a while now and went through all the belts and pulleys, nothing has changed. Sounds like its coming from right behind the alternator but it is not the alternator, im pretty sure its from the head. Here is the sound:http://www.soundupload.com/audio/rru17eulj9mkulij
How hard is it to check for a broken lifter or rocker arm? Or maybe a bent pushrod?

Can anyone give me detailed info on how to check all the head components? I dont want to pay a shop to pull a cover and then rape me with prices. Thanks

I had the same noise. On my engine it was the lifter going out. Drop the oil and look for the little needle brgs in it or on the magnet.
