im getting my first cam and i want something that gives good numbers and also gives the car the mean raspy sound




i heard the biggest you can go with acam on stock heads on an ls1 is a 240/244 is this true?
like a g5x4?

search man.. go to the internals forum.....

you dont get the "raspy" sound from the cam.. that would be the exhaust..

biggest isnt always best.. if your staying with stock heads there are a lot of better choices than the biggest...

also if you go with something like a trex,ms4,polluter etc.... you will have to flycut if you want heads with diff. sized valves than stock...

i have the ms4 though, and i love it!
