Default cam install question...

ok in the JMX install link on ls1howto..it lists 6qts of oil..yet i dont see any step of draining old oil and adding the new stuff..and since you gotta change the oil after 100 miles with the new cam cant i just break it in with the oil thats in there? Or will it spill out?

FYI im installing this
cam/springs/retainers/pushrods/oil pump, pulley/ ls6 manifold..

Gotta be carefull not to get water or any dirt in the oil when you have the timing cover off. I never take the chance....always drain the oil & put in fresh stuff after a cam install. Filter is optional as no contaminants should get in there while doing the install. Just pick up some cheap oil at Walmart. $15 for a case of 12. Better safe then sorry.
