Default cams..and what can go wrong?

on a cam/valvetrain install, what can go wrong and why? And after everything is installed is there a way to check to be 100% safe?

anything is possible.

Just make sure you check your P2V clearance if the cam is big and the heads are milled, and if doing an oil pump, make sure u have oil pressure.
Also, what cam do you plan on using?

Two things: when you put the oil pump back in, work that pickup tube in nice and slow and easy, or the O-ring will get pinched, then you have low oil pressure. The other thing is be double damn certain you get the dots lined up on the timing gears . . . or your valves are toast. Oh and BTW, you're not a *****!
