LS6 heads on LS1 Block

LS6 heads on LS1 Block I did not seem to find this question in the search, so Does anyone know if I can take stock '02 LS6 heads and direct bolt them to my '01 LS1 block. I know I have the LS6 intake manifold so the intake runners should meet up right??

Re: LS6 heads on LS1 Block If you port them yes, they tend to give 10-15 more hp over their LS1 conterpart. are you going to get them ported or are you talking about stock heads? either way you will gain hp

Re: LS6 heads on LS1 Block I will most likely get them ported...also any pcm problems with running these heads in the LS1 and do you think the Hot cam would really open up with these heads on the car?? 
Re: LS6 heads on LS1 Block What year of LS6 heads are you getting? I believe the newer ones have longer valves and will require a different pushrod. I think that the Scoggins Dickie site (SDPC is a sponser) has info on what year heads have the longer valves.
