vettedoctors dyno tune
thunderracing 7.400 pushrods
value stem seals
dual patriot gold springs (would appreciate recommendations here mostly)

What idle speed should a tr224 be set at also and do you think it's worth 55rwhp. Thanks.
It does not mention if you have a higher stall converter? This really is a must on a cammed A-4. That is a good choice for a stocked head Ls1. Had that Cam in mine for a good 2 years and ran low 12's with a TCI 3500. Ran low 11's with a 1oo shot of N2O.

Do I really need a higher stall to run that cam or the stock 1700 should be fine? because I just ordered everything for $626 besides the springs and coated catted mac mids.

not required......... but why not throw another 500$ to give you as much gain in the 1/4 mile as the cam itself....?

..and then pretty soon that would lead to a $3000 moser I'm limiting myself to how much I'm going to spend, I'm just doing this to hold me over for another couple years till I get a different car. All my friends have moved from their shitboxes to Evo9s, STI's, 70 and 72 chevelles, srt-4s, impala ss's with nitrous so I have to widen the lead again. Just ordered the PAC-1218 springs, anyone know a cheap place for MAC mids with catted Y and fittings.

I will tell you this. There is not to many Sponsors that would not tell you. Do a stall converter first. It is not all about the performance. It is about driveability as well.

Do you recommend that extra tooling for compression the cylinder to keep the valves up? I had never thought about that . Thanks for that link, im gonna order one.

Edit, have you guys used this tooling with good success and minimal headache?
