Default Typical gains with LS2 heads?

Untouched LS2 heads to be exact. I picked up a pair for 300 bucks along with a lid and a dual dual catback. Can i expect atleast 20-30rwhp out of that combo?

LS2 243 heads will lower you compression ratio so you should have them milled down and they will be a nice addition to your LS1. Once you get ready for a cam you should do the heads at the same time to save money. Good luck, John

Thanks LS. I'm just going for the sleeper role. I'm looking for mid 12's and i'll be happy.

243s will raise compression about .4
They also flow a bit better. they will add ~ 15rwhp untouched.
If you paid $300 for it all, you have a good deal.

Are the heads used or brand new?

Heads had 5K on them.

Heads - 300
Lid - 90
Filter - 40
Dual Dual - 300

730 Total. I wanted the dual dual at ALL costs. Hopefully i'll be able to pull 12.7's with these mods

Since they were used, my advice is to have them checked by a machine shop, refresh the valve job and change seals.
After that, your next mod should be a tune, that alone can net you more power than all your mods put together.

Thanks predator. I sold the heads to a friend today for 350.

Got to thinking as much as i want to tear off the heads i don't want to do it without adding headers at the same time so i can pickup another set of heads down the road.

SO for now the Lid, Dual dual and an Off road Y will be only going on the car. With cooler weather i hope i can pick up the .3 tenths to get into the 12.7's
