Default valve spring help

ok i had a shop buy my cam and valve train and have had trouble getting rid of some chater in the heads. i have a .600 lift cam and beehive springs that are rated for .600 lift. just asking for advice on wether it could be that the springs are maxed out or not.

Well the preload is determined by pushrod length. You should always measure it with a pushrod length checker then add .060-.100 for lifter pre-load. I am running .100 lifter preload. The lifters act as shock absorbers. The more pre-load you put on them, the more they are compressed meaning, usually, the quieter the engine is. Most run .080 preload.

Did you put thread locker on your rocker arm bolts before torquing them to 22ft lb? Are any of the rockers loose? Are there any needle bearings missing from the rockers (common problem).

Also i definatly wouldnt be running a .601 lift cam on .600 lift SINGLE springs. that's just crazy. If one breaks you WILL lose and engine. I've had a dual spring break and the inner spring was able to hold my valve up long enough to even drive it to a friends house to fix it. I'm running .650 lift springs on my .651 lift cam but they are duals so there is a chance of my valve not dropping into my engine. You also may experience valve float in the higher rpms which is going to rob you of power.

What is the installed height? You need that number to compute the coil clearances. If you are more than 0.050" from coil bind you should be good. Maximum lift doesn't mean anything, it comes down to installed height and coil bind that will determine you lift capability. I wouldn't just start swapping parts, figure it out first.
