Default Piston ?

Just wondered which piston design is best for power and detonation, dome, dish, flat other?

Thanks

All depends on your plans with the motor... boost, nitrous, N/A? The biggest difference between the 3 is going to be your compression.

That's easy.. A big big dish prevents detonation. A big big dome is great for horsepower...... Just kidding.

In a perfect world where the chamber can be made small without sacrificing flow, a small reverse dome is the best as the perimeter reflects combustion back into the center momentarily for a more complete combustion. In the real world, Hit the max compression ratio your fuel will withstand. There are some dome designs that do a very good job of enhancing flow around the valve and enhancing combustion.
