59cc chamber and stock bottom guys come on in!

To be completely honest with you, I'm not sure if they are milled or welded. I got in touch with one of the guys from speed inc and he hooked me up with these heads and a 224 cam at that time. This cam is on 112 +4 using stock head gaskets. I personally never checked PTV on it, my shop checked everything and said that it would work fine....so I believed them. I'm also running mine on a ls1 intake () so I don't get to enjoy the upper rpm range like I should get to. The ls1 intake killed me on the dyno! What kind of numbers did you get? Do you have your dyno sheet? What's your setup like?
This cam is sweet!! It's amazing, and pulls forever! I still enjoy driving this car everyday! If I cared about gas mileage I'd get a Prius or something.

I was a little worried about losing too much on the bottom as this a primarily street car but I hit TC lockup at 47 mph and it pulls great with no upshifting issues. Great manners too once it's warmed up.
At WOT the stall hits hard and it screams to 6500. It is still carrying HP flat but I don't feel safe spinning any higher and the torque is dropping off of course.
I FINALLY have some MT ET Streets so I hope to get some times soon. They are 17's though and on the street I can still roast them from a 25mph roll. D@mn Yank That is with 25psi in them though so 18psi, a sticky track and a little warmer weather I hope to hook. It is warm enough here that they usually do T&T on Sundays this time of year so I am lucky.
For a street/strip cam I think this grind is hard to beat

PTV on these is much higher than LS1/LS2/LS6 or 5.3s milled to 59cc.
On these you'll run into PTVC issues and potentialy destroy your motor with a 230+ duration cam.
I hope poeple understand the diference.

so predator-Z- are you saying the 243's will be fine or the 035's. or is there any difference. I know I was close, but haven't ran into any problems yet. Should I change out to a thicker gasket to make sure?

you should measure you ptv. well actually u should have befoe u fired the motor and drove it.

btw if your are running 243's and they are milled to 59cc then u r way close imo. if they are welded thats another story.

I tried to upload dynosheet but I think it is too big 417/383 were my #'s with some heavy wheels/tires. Torque curve was flat as a tabletop
I lost my sheet when I moved here, so I can't advertise my #'s. I want to say they are around the same but I'm suffering bad up top due to that ls1 intake.

Mine is good, I get a little buck at low RPM but I'm okay with it. My car is really loud considering its the stock catback. I have a co worker that lives in the same little town that I do and he says he can here me crank up my car every morning and/or when I get on it leaving for the Autobahn.

I've pulled mine close to 6500-6800, but I try not too. I still have the stock bottem end and I have yet to replace the rod bolts, so I'll steer away from spinning that high.

Where are you located? At the track where I raced before they run T&T all the time as long as it's not snowing/raining. I couldn't really find the right PSI to launch those things at so good luck. I tried them all and the best I got was around a 1.7 or so 60'. I'm not sure if that's horrible or ok.

Yeah, that makes a difference. Those were 6.0 71cc castings with welded chambers to reduce chamber size.
