Default Net gains from stroking motor

Right now I have an ls1 with 230/234 cam on a 112 lsa and stage 2.5 ls6 heads. How much hp and tq would I gain from stroking the car to: 364, 383,408, or 427?

Thanks,

Pride

with the stock ls1 motor you have with the 3.898-3.903 bore and a 4.0" stroke crank it will be a 383 and you probably won't gain alot of hp but you'll gain quite a bit of torque. just guessing i'd say 15-25 hp and 40-50 ftlbs torque. there are so many variables it is hard to get an actual accurate gain. with an lq9 or ls2 block with a 4"-4.03 "bore and 4" stroke it is a 402 or a 408 . with that many cubes your h/c setup would need to be upgraded to take advantage of the extra cubes imo.

Agreed

I used to run stroked LTx stuff before Lloyd Elliot came out with impressive h/c packages and to be honest a stoker is only as good as the topend. Small cames for a 350/346 cid motor get swallowed up by the demaned for longer valve timing events.

I had a 383 for what it is, worked but realized that compared to even examples today would have to run a serious cam w/ cyl heads to match. Not to mention all the bolt ons and free flowing intake and exhaust.
