Default Need heads

Ive been out of the game for about three years since school however I am interested in adding some heads to my 2001 Z28 - motor is stock.

I am currently running a procharger system running 8psi on the stock motor with 42lb injectors.

My plan is to install forged dished pistons at the same time. What heads are popular these days?

Anyone have a suggestion for the best bang for your buck?

ET performance or Trick flows but they can be pricey. You can have a LS6 head flow very well with the right person porting and a doing a valve job that seals

I would be very tempted to go aftermarket in your case (boosted) so I could get a head with a thicker deck. Especially if you think more than 8psi is in your future

I stand by Lloyd Elliots head porting. He's the king of LT1s IMO and im currently getting mine ported by him for my LS1. He ports his heads to work with what you want then has a cam ground for those heads. He's doing a 243 setup for me to work with my cam and Victor JR setup

Just email him and he responds within a day with loads of information for you.

With FI a lot of guys like to save some money and go with Patriot stage 3 or 2 heads. Very inexpensive, with a 408 they hit around 650 rwhp.

If your looking for a premium head I have AFR's on sale or TFS competatively priced.
