Default Question about yellow LS-6 valvesprings and retainers

Will my 02 stock retainers work with them? I want to run 1.85 rockers so I think lift will be okay on them.

I read that the stock LS-1 springs are good to .525 lift. My new high number would be .521. Not worth using?

For peace of mind, I would swap in the LS6 springs. They can be had for cheap. If money is not a big concern, you can swap in some CC 918 beehive springs so when the time comes for a cam swap, you won't have to swap springs for a second time.

Shooting for SI list. Much later (years) when the motor goes or something I will slap a cam and heads on and springs will be on em. Searching now for best LS-6 spring deals.

What rockers will you run? Yella tera has some ultra-lite 1.8s. I would consider running those and using TI retainers to keep the valve train light as possible.
