Default cracked block... :(

Well, getting everything buttoned up and I noticed this:

right where the damn water pump bolts on... drivers side, lower port...

should I even worry about it? doesnt look like it will effect the structure or sealing of the block..

just figured I'd ask.

if it was mine i'd just put a little black silicone on the gasket. shouldn't affect the strength of the block, but it may leak.

Hard to tell from the pic, but that doesn't look cracked to me, looks more like a scratch imo. It doesn't look very deep either, i'd think you would be ok...

I guess you will have to see what happens, did it leak before you tore it down? If it didn't i wouldn't worry about it.

That's not a crack. It's a casting line.
