Head Studs
Head Studs Right now I'm debating going with ARP bolts or studs.
I'm wondering if you can install the heads (with the engine in the car) with studs? Is there enough room in an F-Body?

Yes. You do have to remove the studs to get the heads off however. But, with the allen tool, the studs are easily removed. Extra time obvioulsy, but you CAN do it
I never had to remove the studs to remover the heads, They come right off . The only thing i had to take off extra is the exhaust manifolds and power steering pump and intake,The things you would normally do with a head removal. Use the studs, you'll be glad you did.

Next week I'll be re-installing my heads. I'm also going to switch to the ARP studs at this time also.
I've gotten the studs in the block already, and it looks like the heads will clear the cowl to install okay.
But, what did you guys do about your headers?? I had to jack the car up and remove the header from the cats. Also on the drivers side, I had to remove the steering knuckle. Then I could rotate the header away from the block enough.
Without dis-connecting the headers (and knuckle) to get the extra clearance - there is 'no way' I'd be able to get a head on there.
