Default Hey Guys... what do I need??? I want 425hp...

I have a 98 vette A4, 3k yank stall, 3,42 gears, full exhaust, and a 150 shot of nitrous.... Im ready to do the heads cam intake thing, but dont know which way to go... my budget is a little flexible. I hear good things about the AFR heads, but I see a lot of people using the 5.3 and LS6 heads too. My goal is 425hp off the spray.... or a very low 11 to high ten second car on the spray, but i also want it to be very streetable.... am I wishing for too much? I like the 228R cam, but do I need more cam? Thank for all the help.

I would look at the stg 2.5 5.3l Heads/Cam combo. the 228R should get you close with a FAST intake, but if you aren't afraid of a little more cam I would recommend looking at the 233/239 cam. With the split in duration it will do better on the nitrous. Driveability on a cam like that will be determined by a tune, any competent tuner can take care of that end.

A bigger cam doesnt bother me... Approximately what would my compression ratio be with the 5.3 heads? Thanks

Out of the box the 62cc chamber will bring you up to ~10.75:1.

What LSA would you go with on the 233/239 cam? Imtrying to figure what the heads, cam, intake, TB, TSP long tubes will cost... When you said fast intake were you referring to a fast 92 w 92 TB?

That is a high 10 second car with that cam/heads and spray I think for sure.

I prefer the 112 LSA on that cam. That would work well for the street.

The 92mm Intake and 92mm TB are really the only aftermarket intakes I recommend spending money on, otherwise just grab an LS6 if you don't already have one.
