Default recommend me some heads to go with this cam

This is the cam im using:

Intake Exhaust
Lobe Lift: .380” .381”
Gross Valve Lift 1.70 Ratio: .646” .648”

Duration @ .050” Tappet Lift: 246* 254*

Lobe Separation: 113*

Recommended Intake Centerline: 108*

Specs at 108 Degree Intake Centerline:
Valve Timing at Open Close
.050” Tappet Lift: Intake: 15* BTDC 51 ABDC
Exhaust: 65* BBDC 9* ATDC

Specs at 110 Degree Intake Centerline:
Valve Timing at Open Close
.050” Tappet Lift: Intake: 13* BTDC 53* ABDC
Exhaust: 63* BBDC 11* ATDC

this is going on a 408 with an m6. i wanted to use the L92 heads but i dont know if they would work well with this cam. but i cant really afford a set of heads much more expensive than the L92's. Please let me know what you think of these heads with that cam. If you dont think those will work recommend me another set of heads similar in price. I want to make 500+rwhp

thanks

I have heard bad things about the l92 heads unless you match them with a cam. The cam has to be grinded to those heads because of the intake and exhuast on those heads. My tunner said that its very hard to tune a cam thats not matched to l92 I think you will just have headaches I went with a pair of patriot stage 3 heads then had a machine shop port them more. same price and same flow. My old set up with a ms3 NA went 11.1 and I hit the rev. limiter with a n2o tune full race wieght car.

Stay with a cathedral port head with a cam that big.... do NOT use the L92's! It will be a dog with that big a cam and those huge intake ports..... been there.... done that.

Yes, but not one you will like.

Choose the cam last, not first. Design the engine to do what you want it to with budget, displacement and heads/intake being the major and first choices. The cam will be used to make all of that stuff work together.

Better yet, get a succesful engine designer to spec your engine.

Jon
thats the truth.
the cam is the cheapest hp part of the engine.
do the shortblock, get some heads, then match the cam with your required goals.
