Default Help please!

Hey fellas, first post... not necessarily new to the forum. Been around for a few months reading and researching. I'm in need of some assistance. Hope someone can help.

This does not pertain to an LSx motor, but a 2001 4cyl isuzu motor. My sister drives a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4cyl RWD. About three days ago, while she was driving on the highway... she noticed a very high pitched squeel. She called me on her way to her house and asked if she could stop by so i could take a peek. Here is what i have troubleshot so far:

Sprayed belt dressing on surp. belt.... no joy

Removed surp. belt... started motor... still whining. Sounds like its coming from the left aft area of the motor on the intake side.

Sprayed some carb. cleaner near the intake joint to see if there was a crack or leak... nothing <---hoping to get an idle response

AC on/off... doesn't change anything

Remove oil cap on valve cover... didn't get any louder.

With motor rev's, the pitch frequency gets higher and quieter until motor returns to idle. When the motor is under load... squeel seems to die out. Let off the gas or at idle, constant squeel.

Any advice/suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

It sounds like torque converter squeal. You've done a good job of isolating it and the fact that it changes under load is interesting.

The "under load" situation is weird. When the vehicle accelerates from a stop... the squeel dies out all together. But as soon as the motor isn't under as much of load, the high pitch squeel works its way back.
