Default MS3 in an Auto?

Im considering putting a MS3 cam in my Z28. its an Auto with the stock stall and stock rear end. I dont have headers on it now but will when I put the cam in. would it work ok considering the stock aspect of the car?

no that cam will not work with the stock converter. when you get a cam tuned they raise the idle and it will be very difficult to hold the car stopped at a light. plus if you do manage to get it to stop pulling forward the engine will usually die. the largest cam that is considered ok for a stock converter is a 224/224.

a3600-4000 stall is perfect for that cam N/A in a 3.23/3.73 gear.

I have the MS3 in my auto, I have a custom built TCI 4400 stall built for spray. I would go with at least a 3800 stall and 3:73's. If not it will be a dog down low in the rpm range.
