Default T-rex v2 cam only?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about installing a T-rex in my ls1 as a cam only car plus a few necessary bolt-ons. I was planning to go with patriot dual springs, chromoly pushrods, titanium retainers, new seats and seals, and stock rockers. Is there anything else I should invest in or will this work well enough to get me by? I already know this cam is pretty intense for a street car, but thats what I'm looking for. Any and all suggestions are more than welcome, thanks everyone in advance!

Check your valvespring installed heights. You'll probably need to shim them. Give Thunder a call and ask them for some advice on setting up the valvesprings. Shane is the guy to talk to if I remember correctly.

I'd be happy to discuss your setup with you. Don't forget proper gear selection... That will make or break your combo with that cam.

Thanks,
Shane

Yeah I could definitely understand the benefit's of different gears. I would go 4.10 but I was hoping to wait until I could replace the whole rear end, cuz the stock one is about worthless. Plus won't the stock gears only hurt me from a dig? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that if you're going from a roll you'd be fine. Thanks and keep the info coming!

Most of the time you want 4.10's or bigger for a big cam in a 6-speed car

I'm assuming your also gonna be spraying correct?

If so 4.10's are fine

Id throw a double roller timing chain and LS6 oil pump in there also. Just the usual upgrades with cam swaps.

As for springs and everything else I went with Patriot golds, with Ti retainers, and 7.4 chromoly pushrods all from thunder racing.
