thunderracing.com. Order 16 Viton valve seals. They are all brown like your exhaust valve seal.

Patriot sells the seals as well. Here's a link. https://www.patriot-performance.com/...&cat=51&page=1

I reread your post. That seems like alot of oil to burn to be seals. Were the rocker bolts sealed? They open into the intake ports, when ported. You should maybe have a leakdown/compression test as well.

Also, the Patriot seals are pretty top notch. Unless you have tons of miles, or ran the motor hot. They seem unlikely for that much oil useage

check the guides. seals normally don't just go bad.
I had to have the guides in my patriots replaced.

You really should NOT be having that issue with the Patriot seals. They are identical to the seals GM uses on the exhaust side. Are you sure they were fully seated before you installed the springs? As asked above did you put sealant on the intake rocker bolts? I hate to ask these types of questions, but that kind of oil consuption on an otherwise stock motor makes me wonder.

Thanks,
Shane

Those seals are one of the best, So I wouldn't listen to who is telling you otherwise.

The few things already mentioned in this thread need to be checked. Even if it was a couple bad seals, you wouldn't use that much oil.

Here's some maybe's;
valve guides
rings
pcv set up

How many miles are on the car? Does it smoke on start up, accel, or decel? What weight oil do you use? Have you been running the car harder since the cam?

It honestly doesn't sound like valve seals at all. Unless they weren't seated all the way. Were they already installed? If so, that to me, would rule them out even more.

I'd get a leak down/compression test done with that much oil usage.

As stated above, those are high heat seals and are some of the best you can use. If the seals were installed properly and you have no seal to retainer clearance issues, then your problem lies elsewhere.

thanks guys i'll pull apart the covers and check it out. i did replace them with the cam install. the car does smoke on start up and on acceleration and the smoke is white in color, i dont really run the car hard, also car has 74000 miles. i use mobile 10 40w. the funny thing is that my car does not run hott and oil pressure is always high.

Anyone know how to seat these seals that don't have a lip on the bottom? I tried using a socket on the top, but it looked like it was gonna start to mess up the spring.
