Default Need cam & head advise please

need some advise about a cam choice with stock heads. i have a 2001 z28 with the following mods: slp forced air induction, k&n air filter, slp lid, smooth bellow,85mm bbk tb,stock ls6 intake, long tube headers,3'' slp exhaust, spec stage 2 clutch, chrome molly steel flywheel(14lb),a 100-150 shot of juice that i havent put in and some small suspension work. trying to stay on a small budget build. what kind of cam is good to use with the stock heads? is ms3 113 lsa a good cam choice? i might take my heads to a friends,-friends dad that owns a machine shop to get some cheep porting and polishing on them also. any advice on what else i should do since i can prob. get discount on machine work? also what kind of horse power do u think i have right now with my mods any have a guess?? (375 hp)???

A bolton ls1 will be in the 350-360rwhp range. The ms3 will work well with your mods and put you in the 400rwhp range.

imo i wouldnt go that big unless you are going to mill the heads to bump compression. A well chosen medium size cam will make good power and be a lot of fun. Big cams like the help of gears and or stall, and higher rpms. dont be afraid to talk to the vendors....TSP, Vengeance, Thunder Racing...etc all can help you find the perfect cam selection for YOU
