Default Cometic Head Gaskets

Can I use the thinnest head gaskets they make (.040) to raise my compression a little? On my carb'd LQ4 with L92 heads.
And can I use regular head bolts with my L92 heads or do I need special ones?

Yes you can. Here is what I calculate your compression to be now and after using a .040, 4.039" bore gasket.

Compression now using a GM MLS 6.0L head gasket:
