Can I get some help deciding. I would like to get both, but it looks like I can only do one for now, so should I get a cam or go with a stall 1st and do the cam down the road. Which makes more sense and can you tell me why. My mods are long tubes 3" ory and exhaust, cai p&p tb, 160 stat & free mods and an A4 with 373 gears.

From what I know you want to get the stall first, if you can't them at the same time. Keep in mind when you get a stall, that you want to get a cam someday. So get a stall that's going to work with the size cam you have in mind. Also you get what you pay for.

Depends on what you do with the car.. stalled cars haul *** at the track, cam makes big hp on the street, but definately not ideal from a stop, mine would only cut 1.85 60' with a 226/226 cam with stock stall and gear. I didn't have any driveability problems, no pushing through the brakes or any other problems for that matter.
If I did it again I'd get a stall.. make the most of the power you have, then add more horsepower.

If I choose a stall suited to a future cam change will it perform well now with the stock cam?

Yes its still going to allow you to get your car into your power band before you even lauch. It will come out of the hole a lot faster and then when you add the cam it will be of even greater benifit.

So more then likely I will just burn my street tires up. Is it like pulling a hole shot at 4k with streets in an M6. So is the stall still worth it without drag radials.
