I have a 408 car that I am messing around with the next couple weeks since I can finally afford to do some work. My current exhaust setup is QTP Longtubes with a TSP True dual exhaust with moroso spiral mufflers dumped before the axle.

I am considering going with open headers with an 18 inch extension with a turndown. Or buying a similar race style muffler like my moroso's to mount the the end of the headers and then turn my down.

I was wondering if anyone has any combination like this (even better with some sound clips of it running) and what their thoughs were about their setup. Car is not a DD only weekends/strip car so sound is not REALLY important but I would like something a little quieter than an open headers car. Some attention (law enforcement) is not exactly desired I'm sure you guys know what I mean

Its going to be loud as **** with dumps after a collector. If you are worried about getting a ticket then keep your duals.

I have 8" extenstions off my header on my LT1 and its bad *** loud but there is no way you would get away with something like that on the street.

 

Yea i am wanting to put some kind of muffler on it....but i'm not sure what will fit and be the quietest...I could always put my spirals on there from the TSp system
