advise on Titanium valves
I just picked up a set of stock size Del West titanium valves and I'm not sure what I would need to do to my LS6 heads to run them. Will the stock valve seats work? Do the titanium valves need special spring pressures or could I run my Patriot dual springs without any problems. I am also going to run the Patriot cam 225/229, 580/590 if that makes any difference. Thanks for any advise anyone might be able to give.

you'll be fine running the seats in your heads with titanium valves. Make sure they both have the right seat angle on them..im assuming its 45 degree stuff. Double check installed heights with the new valves. Need to also recheck guide clearance and probably need to run at least a bronze liner or even a bronze guide.

Usually, aftermarket titanium valves have a hardened tip above the keeper groove, but in the case of an LS7, a lash cap is used instead to provide a hardened surface for the rocker to make contact without damaging the valve.
