Default cam install price?

What type of money would you expect to pay for a cam, springs, new pushrods, and new oil pump by a professional shop with a tune? Hopefully my next mod.

With no parts I would say about $1000 to $1200.

yessir, Better yet check out the yellow pages or your regional forum and make some quick phone calls. That should get you an accurate number.

Wow. $1000-1200 for a cam swap?

*EDIT- Didn't read the entire post which included the oil pump swap. We charge $500 for that entire swap.

I got mine done for $450 labor only. Sometimes you have to be patient, he quoted me like $900 before, but he had a really slow spell and I hit him up again just at the right time! This guy too is a late model GM specialist.

My ALLDATA labor calls for 15.4 hours for the cam install. The valve springs/checking & setting up the installed height would be an additional 2 hours. So 17.4 hours @$75.00 = $1305.00.
