Default patriot stg 2 welded 59cc

I am looking for some heads right now. Looking at some welded stg2 patriots. I have a 02 z06 doing the heads/cam/headers all at once pretty soon. Have everything but the heads. I have the mti v1 cam 230/232 .592/.595 111lsa woundering if you guys think these will work well or not. The guy said the compression ratio was 11.2 to 1 with a mls head gasket and thats what I will be running. Is that goin to be fine on 92oct gas? Tom wong is going to be doing the tunning and he is said to be amazing!

Yea I think the welded heads are better than the ones they sell now cause you get the extra compression with smaller chambers and still maintain PTV clearance.

Thats pretty much what Im in the middle of doing to my vette. Our cams are close too.
Mine are 5.3's 59cc, bigger valves, ported and polished. Im just waiting on a few parts to get here before I can get it back together.

Block cleaned, I just need to clean up piston tops now. My back is killing me from cleaning the block. Two hours of bent over my fenders.

The welded chambers "LS6 Style" from Patriot were having problems cracking and coolant leaking into the cylinder. That's why they switched to the LS6 heads. I wouldn't bother with those unless it's the actual 243 casting.
