Default AFR 225 Heads and Valve Springs question.

I need a new set of valve springs for my AFR 225's. I'd like something with about 160# on the seat and 400#+ at .600 lift.

The question is what is the largest diameter spring I can run with out cutting the heads? What inner diameter can I run?

I haven't pulled the springs off to see...

Why not just get the 8019's straight from AFR. They are drop in. I think they set up at 155# on the seat and should be over 400# open with your lift. Shims would raise the seat value if you need it. Contact Tony and confirm values but it would be a lot easier than machining the heads.

PAC-1521 would work, and so would the AFR 8019.

Good move. There are other springs out there, but the 8019s are so damn reliable I can't stop buying them. LOL.
