I would go with a set of Kook's LT headers and off-road x-pipe (off road for the louder exhaust if you don't have to worry about emissions) and leave the factory catback on the car. You can get the mild-to-wild switch to open the baffles whenever you want. From there, throw a camshaft and CNC port the heads, ported TB and intake and you will be in ballpark of 600 RWHP. We have seen several cars come through here with that same combo time and time again making BIG power. Let us know if there is anything you need help with and we'll be happy to get you fixed up!
Thanks!

Lou's old c6zo6 did 632 rwhp but I forget the torque number with the g7x4 / ported ls7 head pkg. That's Lou Gigliotti of LG Motorsports. I'll see if I can dig up some info and post what else was done to it. But if memory serves, it was h/c p'd tb, lg pro longtubes 1 3/4, K&N and a spot on tune. For some reason 569 rwtq jumps out at me.

To correct my bad memory. It wasn't ported ls7 heads,g7x4, lg pros 632/569...
It was actually stock ls7 heads, g7x5 cam, ewp, lg pros 1 3/4, and a tune. Didn't mention a k&n but I wouldn't be surprised. Also had an exedy twin, and this was a 2006 c6z !! Numbers were 632 rwhp 551 rwtq. Sorry, I over quoted the rwtq. I bet the new 1 7/8 Lg Super Pros would let that combo make even more. Maybe 640-645 rwhp and 560 rwtq.
Good luck on whatever direction you go.

Either way you are going to be happy, as long as its LGM.

Just bought a ls7 z.....what the hell do i need to do first to it....im guessing long tubes exhaust and a tune....already has a k&n....i have slp loudmouth on my c5 with kooks long tubes and off road xpipe and i like it....what is the loudest and nastiest exhaust for this beast would appreciate the ideas....thanks
Now if you are going for just sound that might be a different story why to add them.
If you do a tune alone you can see anywhere from 25-30rwhp, without any mods. A good CAI might add an additional 10-15rwhp.
Congrats on the vette!

There is very little gain from LT headers on a C6Z06, where as the C5 there is. If you look at your stock manifolds compared to a C5 ones you will see why there is very little difference to add LT's to a C6Z06. Only with a cam swap in conjunction would you see a gain with the LT's.
