Default Starting Issues?

Hey guys, I have a 2000 WS6, with a manual trans. It has long tube headers, some type of gears, no cats, and some type of tune; the SES light doesn't come on.

My question is this; every time I start the car, it almost never starts on the first attempt. Even if I turn the key on for a second, prior to trying to start the car. I usually have to turn the key a second time to get the car to start. It only has 43,000 miles, and I just had to replace the starter.

Could this problem be caused by the past tune of the car?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

It could be the tune, but not very likely.

I'd slap a fuel-pressure gauge on it and see if the pump is giving out.

If it was the tune you would probably notice it after you got the tune. Maybe you were given a bad starter?

check electrical: alt, batt, starter

also check fuel pressure. could be a dying pump. mine acted like this before my pump suddenly died

Thanks guys. Unfortunatley, the tune was done prior to me buying the car. I will check the fuel pressure.
